Business transfer · Before going to market
A business that runs without you is worth more
A buyer pays for what continues after you leave. If your customers come from you, they are buying a risk. If they come from a system, they are buying an asset. That difference is built before going to market, not during.

What pushes an offer down
- The customers know you personallyA serious buyer's first instinct is to ask what happens to sales when you leave. If the answer is vague, the offer drops.
- Too much revenue on too few customersConcentration is a risk and gets priced as one. It can be fixed, but not in three months.
- Nothing is documentedNo usable customer list, no written process, no history of what drives sales. The buyer has to rebuild it all, and discounts accordingly.
- Digital assets are scatteredDomain at a former supplier, Google listing nobody controls, ad accounts in an employee's name. Every missing access is friction in the deal.
What we build before you go to market
- 01A customer source that does not depend on youA documented, measurable channel that brings customers without going through your personal relationships. The point that weighs most in a valuation.
- 02A less concentrated customer baseWe work to widen the base so that losing one large client stops being an event.
- 03Assets brought back under your nameDomain, site, Google listing, ad accounts, email list. Everything must be transferable on closing day.
- 04Numbers a buyer can verifyClean measurement is worth more than a good story. A buyer who can verify pays more than a buyer who has to believe.
- 05What is in your head, written downHow a customer arrives, how they are served, why they come back. That is what the buyer will have to reproduce.

Frequently asked
The questions we get most before kicking off.
How far ahead of a sale should you start?
Twelve to twenty-four months for it to show in the numbers. Building an independent customer source and showing its history takes quarters, not weeks. Starting three months out fixes assets and documentation, not owner dependence.
Do you value the business?
No. Valuation belongs to an accountant or a chartered appraiser. We work on what feeds their calculation on the customer and risk side, which is not the same as producing the number.
What is the difference between selling and passing to a successor?
Price matters less in a family or internal transfer, continuity matters more. The underlying problem is identical: whatever depends on the person leaving has to become something transferable. Our business succession page covers that case.
Is this confidential?
Yes. Our transfer and succession engagements are under NDA and appear nowhere publicly. That is why there is no case study on this page.
